The Daily Show just did a special report on Arizona State University's (my Alma Mater) refusal to give Barak Obama an honorary degree.
ASU has gotten hit a lot, much of it well deserved (take the Simpsons quote when Flanders thinks Homer has gotten into heave: "I guess heaven's easier to get into than Arizona State!"). It is though a good school in a lot of ways, and if you care about your education, you can get a good one.
(Of course, I don't agree with the econ department's practice of hiring cooky Nobel Prize winners to increase their ranking)
