I've recently been trying to donate more of my time and skills to charitable causes, but I've noticed that this seems to not be an easy thing to do. I suspect there's two main reasons: (1) most charities don't think they need help from an economist, and (2) its hard to find one that will do anything for free.
Then I found ProBonoEconomics. They help match economists to charities that need some help. They appear to only be in the UK though.
Anyone know of another place that does something similar, perhaps in the US?
