There does not seem to be much research on the nutritional content of vegetables grown in modern agriculture systems. A recent study has found though that the nutrition content of fruits and vegetables has been decreasing.
Why does it seem we're just now looking into this? Work is desperately needed to understand the effect of different food production systems on health (i.e. organic vs. pesticides vs. different fertilizer usage).
